The new mobile game Lord of the Tings: Rise of War will be available on September 23. Players from America, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Europe will be able to check the new game. You have plenty of time to finish the RPGs you were playing and focus on the new LOTR adaptation.

The game was created by Chinese game developers NetEase Games. You may know them from cooperation with Blizzard that turned into Diablo Immortal. This company also created Interactive Entertainment in collaboration with Warner Bros. The new game will be based on all LOTR games written by J.R.R. Tolkien and their movie adaptations from Peter Jackson.

What Is LOTR: Rise to War About?

As you may have already guessed, the major artifact and the goal of the game is the One Ring. You have to get it if you want “to rule them all, find them, bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.” No matter whether you feel like noble Frodo Baggins or sneaky Gollum, don’t throw it anywhere and don’t ask riddles.

As for the characters, they will be less familiar to movie fans and much more familiar to book worms. Among the LOTR stars are Elrond and Aragorn. The timing is perfect since the action takes place in the Third Age, and if you are not as much of a nerd as we are, it is the same time that was described in the LOTR movies. It makes sense since Aragorn is only a human after all.

You may choose whether you want to be a good character or an evil one, picking the alliance. Good guys are joining Fellowships, and the bad ones have lots of fun in Warbands. The tile-based map expands the territory while you are moving across it. Every victory brings you more land, while the defeat takes it away. The game is divided into seasons with a linear story.

As of now, the game is available in the beta version. Many players have already checked out the gameplay. You can check the trailers and videos from the game before it is officially released.
