Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your neighbor's house to find out what he's hiding. Players can explore their neighbor's home from a top-down perspective with the goal to find his dark secret. The game is currently in early access and is expected to release in late 2017.

Gameplay

After a short tutorial, the first goal of the game is to locate the house key. The game is an entirely open world, and players are free to explore the neighbor's home from a top-down perspective. Exploration is made difficult by the limited visibility due to darkness and the lack of a map.

Players can sneak past the neighbor and get through the house without being detected. The neighbor, however, will become suspicious and check on the player if they're looking in a specific direction. The neighbor has also been confirmed to have a dog that will alert him if the player is nearby.

Players can also use traps to distract the neighbor. These traps include a squeaky toy, a ticking alarm clock, a spring-loaded bear trap, and a box of chocolates. The player can also place a fake key outside to trick the neighbor into checking the front door.

Graphics

The game is played in a top-down perspective and is dark throughout. The graphics are minimalistic in order to emphasize the creepy atmosphere. The graphics of the house change significantly from room to room and are randomly generated.

Replayability

The game offers a wide variety of gameplay options. Players are free to explore the house and sneak past the neighbor, or to use traps to distract the neighbor. The game is still in early access, but it is assumed that it will be replayable.
